What it does
RingCanary calls your phone system on a schedule you choose, walks your menu the way a caller would, and checks each prompt against a recording of how it should sound. When a step fails, you are told by email, Slack or webhook, and the call's recording and signalling timeline are kept as evidence for your carrier or vendor.
It is built for the people who run phone systems for others โ service providers, resellers and managed service providers โ and for contact centres that cannot afford to learn about an outage from their callers.
How we call
- We call only numbers whose owner has authorised it in writing.
- We watch from outside and are never in the path of your callers: if RingCanary stops, your phone system carries on and our tests simply run late.
- The only audio we keep is our own test calls hearing your own prompts. We never record your callers.
Email from RingCanary
We send email only to addresses that a RingCanary account holder has set up to receive it, and only about that account:
- alerts when a test of their phone system fails or recovers, or when a problem on our side stops us testing;
- notices when the account's prepaid credit runs low or runs out;
- a weekly monitoring report;
- a test message, when someone checks an alert channel.
We send no marketing and no newsletters, and we never buy, rent or share address lists. Our messages carry no tracking pixels and no tracked links. Every one says which account and channel it was sent for.
If you are receiving email from us that you did not ask for, write to support@ringcanary.ca and we will stop it the same day. An account holder can also remove your address from their alert channel at any time.
Early access
RingCanary is in early access with design partners. To talk about monitoring your phone system, write to support@ringcanary.ca.
